Dr. Robert Russell

Dr. Russell is originally from Manhasset, Long Island. He graduated from Villanova University in 1975 with a BS in Biology, and in 1980 from the New York Chiropractic College. In 1996 he became a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician. He opened the Fleetwood Family Chiropractic Center in 1981 and has been an active member of the community ever since. He has lectured extensively in Southern Westchester on various health topics. For the past 21 years he has organized and run the Spring Harvest Food Drive in the Mount Vernon School District. With his partner, Dr. Robin Lucia, he helps Mt. Vernon's Project Family by collecting Christmas toys every year and by running a Turkey Raffle to raise money for their various projects. He has also been a local sponsor of Kid's Day America, a national event to educate children about health and safety issues. He is active in the local Lions Club and volunteers at the Sacred Heart Soup Kitchen.

Dr. Robin Lucia

Dr. Lucia is originally from Pelham, NY. She graduated from Moravian College in 1977 with a BS in Medical Technology and in 1984 from New York Chiropractic College. In 1996 she became a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician. She has received extensive training in Cranio-Sacral Therapy and has advanced Certification through the Upledger Institute. She is also Board Certified in Applied Kinesiology and is a Yoga Instructor as well. She joined the Fleetwood Family Chiropractic Center, with Dr. Russell, in 1986. She has lectured throughout Southern Westchester on various health issues. Each year she helps to collect toys and sponsors a Turkey Raffle to raise funds for Mt. Vernon's Project Family. She has also been a local sponsor of Kid's Day America, a national event to educate children about health and safety issues.

Dr. Heather Pearman

Dr. Heather Pearman is originally from Mt. Vernon. She graduated from Life University, School of Chiropractic in 1997. Before attending Chiropractic school Dr. Pearman worked here at the Fleetwood Family Chiropractic Center as a Chiropractic Assistant for 2 years (1992-1994). After witnessing the benefits of Chiropractic care as an employee and patient, it was here that her mission in Holistic Health-care began. Dr. Pearman is a "Holistic Chiropractor" meaning that she treats the "whole" person, the physical, emotional, nutritional, and the spiritual, not just the symptoms. In traditional western medicine patients are analyzed subjectively and not objectively. Symptomatically two patients may walk in the door with identical symptoms, however, the underlying problems may be completely different. Every person has an individualized "bio-computer" that processes information differently; therefore should be treated accordingly. Here at the Fleetwood Family Chiropractic Center, Dr. Pearman specializes in Detoxification (cleansing) and Weight Loss Programs, Allergy Elimination, Whole Food and Herbal nutrition, and Bio-Energetic Techniques. The techniques utilized are Computerized Bio-Energetic Assessment Testing, Neuromodulation Technique, Applied Kinesiology, Total Body Modification, and Reconnection Healing. These techniques have allowed Dr. Pearman to successfully treat patients bio-mechanically, nutritionally, eliminate allergies and toxins, treat auto-immune dysfunction, and balance mind, body and spirit.

Joan Tananbaum, MA, NCC, Certified Reiki Master Practitioner and National Certified Mental Health Counselor, provides two complementary services, Reiki and Gestalt therapy.
